The Whiteaker is a maintenance neighborhood
Most homes in the Whitt were built between 1900 and 1940. That means real wood, real character, and real maintenance. Galvanized supply lines that are 90 years old. Cast-iron drains. Knob-and-tube wiring still hiding in attic corners. Original double-hung windows that need annual paint touch-ups to keep weather out.
We do a lot of work on the Whitt because nobody else loves it the same way. Newer-build crews avoid these homes — they're slower, the layouts are weird, and the surprises are constant. We've made our peace with that. Every Whitt house is its own puzzle.
What we won't do is push you into replacing things that still work. A cast-iron drain at 70 years old can still have decades left. A 1920s furnace might be 60% efficient but still safe and reliable for another 5 winters. We'll tell you the truth, and you decide.

Gutter service for slate-style + box gutters
Some Whitt homes have integrated box gutters or slate-tile roofs. We work both. Standard K-style cleaning is included; specialty work is quoted.

Original wood windows are beautiful but leaky. We re-glaze loose putty, refresh weather seals, and recommend storm window options where appropriate.

Yes — those are our specialty. Pre-1920 homes need an experienced eye for what's normal aging vs. actual concern. We don't try to modernize what doesn't need modernizing.
